Nystatin cream (100,000 U/gm for fungal diaper rash - prescription); apply
three times a day for 7 days |

Elimite 5% Cream (prescription); For scabies. Apply from the neck down,
leave on 10 hours over night, wash off (shower) in morning; one
application only |

Tobrex Drops (prescription): For conjunctivitis ("pink eye"): 2
drops in each eye three times a day for one week. Look for yellow
discharge from eye(s). Clean eye(s) off with cotton ball. |

Zithromax (prescription - 200 mg per 5 cc) For possible ear infections,
pneumonia, bacterial infection (Do not reconstitute until ready to use) |

Furazolidone; This medication comes in liquid form, which can be easily
taken by infants over 1 month of age or small children for treatment of
giardiasis. |
We did not, in fact, pick up any
prescriptions for Autumn. The pediatrician did not think it was
wise to take mediation without seeing her. And we spoke with
several people who say that the adoption agency is really good and
taking care of problems, if they occur while in China. So we are
going to trust our Agency.

did not purchase this. I've read that no baby will drink this
stuff, so it is useless. Better to just give them apple juice or
Gatorade. |

Tylenol, Motrin or Advil: (infant 80mg/0.8ml or children's Tylenol
160mg/5ml); Motrin (100mg/5ml). Dose based on weight: Tylenol dose 10 mg X
kg of weight every 4 hours; Motrin or Advil 5mg X kg of weight every 6-8
hours (i.e. child weighs 8 kg; multiply 10 X 8 =80mg which is one infant
dropperful of Tylenol)
Teething: use Tylenol before bed, Fever >101.5 degrees, or for Ear infection (you want to treat the pain!)
